Practitioner Forums - January 2022

pf

The CSCP promote Practitioner Forums to help people who work with children and young people to learn from each other to support their role in keeping children safe.

There is an agenda for each of the forums and for the forums being held on the dates below there will be an agenda item from the CSCP Safeguarding Groups of which there are three across the county (North, West, South).

The aim of the CSCP Safeguarding group is to bring the work of the CSCP Board closer to frontline practitioners in order to be able to learn from and improve safeguarding practice. The Safeguarding Group bring together the views of children, their families and professionals to inform the continuous development of services and approaches aimed at protecting children from harm and making positive differences to their lives.

As in previous Practitioner Forums we would like to undertake a consultation exercise with you the practitioners regarding the current theme being explored which is Neglect

We would like as many practitioners as possible at the forums to take part in the consultation exercise to understand your experiences of working with children who have or experienced neglect.

We will also have an agenda item entitle ‘Myths about Men’

As usual there will be the opportunity to share knowledge and information from each other’s agency
