Graded Care Profile (GCP2) - Training roll out reminder

gcp2

The Grade Care Profile 2 (GCP2) is a tool make a judgement about whether or not parental care is neglectful.

The GCP2 provides an excellent way to measure and scale the quality of care delivered whilst keeping the child at the centre

Practitioners  will be able to use the GCP2 tool in their everyday practice to make a judgement about whether or not parental care is neglectful.  Use of the GCP2 tool will support practitioners assess the current quality of care, get a baseline measurement, ensure interventions are targeted and monitor progress

From September training is available in two formats about GCP2

Briefing sessions - will  explain in more detail about the GCP2 and the licensed training that will be available for practitioners. The briefing sessions are aimed at managers, headteachers and supervisors who want to know about GCP2 but will not be using the tool but may want members of their staff to complete the licensed training.

GCP2 One Day Course to become a licensed practitioner - This  training is a one-day course to train practitioners to be able to use the GCP2 Tool.

On completion of the training the practitioner will become licensed to use GCP2, consolidate knowledge in relation to neglect and know how GCP2 fits into local practice.  Only practitioners who complete the one-day licensed course will be able to use the GCP2 tool in their work.

All the training will be delivered by members of the CSCP Training Pool who have undertaken a two-day licensed training to deliver the courses.

Please meet some of our trainers CSCP's GCP2 Trainers

Dates for both the briefing sessions and the one-day course are advertised on the CSCP website, please note you will need to be booked via CCC My learning.
