Extra Ordinary Practitioner Forums - Safeguarding Group Learning Events - Child in Need

pf

In May we have three Extra Ordinary Practitioner Forums

There are only three learning events across the county instead of the usual five practitioner forums.

These events will bring learning from the thematic deep dive into Child in Need undertaken by the 3 CSCP Safeguarding Groups (North, West, South).  At previous practitioner forums, practitioners took part in a mapping exercise which formed part of this work.

The aim of the CSCP Safeguarding Groups is to bring the work of the CSCP Board closer to frontline practitioners to learn and improve safeguarding practice. These events will be used to share the learning from the groups, outlining the next steps to take forward findings and your role supporting this as a practitioner working with children and their families.

Learning Events dates and how to book your place on these virtual events are below:

  • North (Carlisle & Eden) Thursday 20th May (12.30–1.30pm)  -       contact: Deb Royston (CEO Cumbria Family Support) – deb@cumbriafamilysupport.org.uk

  • South (Barrow & South Lakes) Tuesday 18th May (11:30am-12:30pm)  - contact:  Nicola Jackson (Focus Family Officer) 07825 011005 – nicola.jackson@cumbria.gov.uk

  • West (Allerdale, Copeland & Millom) Wednesday 19th May (12–1pm)contact: Karen Ross (Early Help Officer) 07885 405708 – karen.ross@cumbria.gov.uk

The current lockdown regulations mean we cannot run the old format of facilitating Practitioners Forums/events, therefore the delivering of the Practitioner Forum Learning Event, is via Microsoft Teams

Due to the learning events being delivered through Microsoft Teams you will need an invitation.   If you have not had an invitation or you have not attended a Practitioner Forum before but would like to join the forum learning event please contact the lead for each of the Practitioner Forums for your area or the forum you would like to join.  They will send you an invitation to join.  The person to contact for each of the forums is outlined above.

We hope to see as many of you as possible at the Extra Ordinary Practitioner Forum Learning Event.
