Update regarding phone calls to the Safeguarding Hub – live from 7 December 2020


Following feedback, the options when you ring the Safeguarding Hub will be changing. The options have been separated for members of the public and professionals. Please be assured that all calls to the Safeguarding Hub are important and there are dedicated staff available to answer your calls.

If you have an enquiry regarding a child/young person and you are aware they already have an allocated social worker, press 1.

If you are a professional you will be required to press option 2 and then you will be given a choice of pressing 1 if your call is urgent and requires a social work response today or pressing 2 for any other safeguarding enquiry.  Please be reminded that the urgent line (option 1) is for professionals where there is a concern that a child requires a social work response today, please press 2 for all other calls. If your call is not urgent then you will be requested to ring back and pick the correct option.
