A number of schools have been in touch with our team to ask about support arrangements for delivering free school meals in the event of a school bubble self-isolating or a whole school closure. We now have the following guidance in place for schools:
- Gather the required information.
- Get your food provider to prepare a weekly package – if you can’t do this, please let us know asap as we will need to identify further support.
- Ensure you have consent from families before passing over their address and contact details.
- Call Paul Milburn from Cumbria Fire and Rescue on 07825 053194 and provide the following information (if your call is not answered immediately, please leave a voicemail and someone will call you back):
- School Name
- School Address
- Number of bubbles isolating/ if whole school is isolating
- Pick up location and time
- Number of deliveries required
- Address and contact details for each delivery
- Days and times of deliveries required
- Contact details for the liaison person at school
- Summary of any risks the delivery people need to know about.
