Cumbria Safeguarding Adults Board support National Safeguarding Adults Week

sab

Cumbria Safeguarding Adults Board (CSAB) will be supporting this week of action in collaboration with the National Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) Network and Ann Craft Trust.

The aim is to raise awareness of safeguarding and identified themes during the week of action, creating a time where we can all focus on safeguarding adults - so we can be better, together.

During the week each day will focus on a safeguarding theme with information and resources shared to improve awareness, understanding and for you to disseminate within your own organisations/networks. Watch out for our daily themed 5 minute briefings to include......

  • Safeguarding and Wellbeing
  • Adult Grooming
  • Understanding Legislation
  • Creating Safer Places
  • Organisational Abuse
  • Sport & Activity
  • Safeguarding in Your Community

Want to find out more about Safeguarding?

Communications Leads from across the partnership have worked together to produce a short video which aims to raise awareness of safeguarding, types of abuse and neglect and what to do if you are worried about a person.

The illustrated video aims to explain safeguarding using easy to understand language. The video is available via our website and is a useful tool to increase and improve awareness of safeguarding.

The video also provides an overview of what CSAB do, our objectives and the partner organisations we work with.
