The website for the SEND Preparation for Adulthood virtual fair is now live.
The fair will run from 5-9 October.
The aim of the fair is to help young people and their families get the information they need to help them achieve the best possible outcomes and to maximise their independence, choice and control.
Over 50 organisations covering education, health, work, housing, care and leisure are taking part. Many of the organisations are running live online webinars during the week which are open to all.
The webinar programme is now live and more sessions will be added in the coming days so keep checking back.
Please help us spread the word and let as many SEND young people and families as possible know about this year's event!

To support Headteachers we are hosting a series of drop-in online surgeries via MS Teams where you can "ask the expert" on key issues. The first start tomorrow.
They are open to all Headteachers and we will review and refine the format as we go forward.
The ESFA have now published the provisional school level allocations for the academic year 2020-21. The first payment, which will be based on 25% of the provisional allocation, will be received by the local authority on 30th September and allocated to maintained school budget shares in October. Chequebook schools will receive payment into their bank account on Friday 2nd October. This will be followed by a second payment in early 2021 and a final payment in summer term 2021. Academies will receive their first payment direct from the ESFA on 8th October.
The allocations have been based on £80 per pupil in Reception to Year 11 for mainstream schools using October 2019 census data and £240 per place for special and PRU schools. Final allocations will be based on the October 2020 census data.
See this link for details of your school’s allocation and the conditions of the grant: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-catch-up-premium-provisional-allocations.
