Early Years Attendance data collection.

We are now collecting Early Years Attendance only once per week on a Wednesday.

It is vital that all settings that are open complete this data return weekly as we need to submit this information to the Department for Education.

Thank you for your continued assistance with this piece of work.

OFSTED Interim visits to begin from September.

On March 2020 all routine OFSTED inspections were suspended. As part of a phased return to routine inspections from Autumn 2020 OFSTED will be carrying out Interim visits. These visits are not inspections and will not result in an inspection grade. OFSTED have issued guidance (see link below) which sets out the process and range of evidence gathering activities that inspectors will carry out on these visits.

SEND huddle referral line opens again on 24 August

The Inclusion team has set up a SEND huddle which is an education, health and social care multi-agency response to supporting the needs of SEND pupils during the COVID-19 pandemic. The SEND huddle referral line will open again the week beginning the 24 August.

The purpose of the huddle is to:

  • address general SEND queries which arise during the COVID-19 pandemic through signposting to relevant resources/guidance as appropriate;
  • allocate appropriate staff to provide advice and information for known individual SEND children;
  • assist schools and parents with planning for the return of pupils with SEND, to school, in September.

The SEND referral help line is available 10am to 12pm, Monday to Friday on 03330150816. We will aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours. Please use the SEND referral helpline if the issue cannot be resolved locally (between parent and school) or there are specific queries.
