Latest update for schools - 8 June

dan barton

Dear All,

It feels as though every week at the moment is very significant, and this is no different. The rate of change in the county over the last 10 days has been astonishing, and driven, as ever, by the massive investment of time and effort from colleagues across the school system.

Over the course of the last few weeks, the ETCG has seen a number of requests for further local public health data to inform decision making. This has been heard and I’m pleased to confirm that the single item in today’s communication will be the first of a weekly data pack which we hope will support colleagues in this regard.

I’ve attached a copy of the letter sent out today from Colin Cox here, for reference.

Thank you as ever,

Dan Barton, Assistant Director - Education and Skills
Cumbria County Council

Data pack for schools

Further to our bulletin earlier today with a letter regarding the R rate for the North West of the country and the wider reopening of schools, please find attached a data pack for schools with an update on R rates data, test and trace data and mortality data for our region.

Going forward we will send out a weekly digest of key public health data to support ongoing risk assessments and decision making.
