Early Years Survey – please complete today

Thank you to everyone who has already completed the survey about re-opening your provision from the 1 June. If you have not already done so, please complete the Early Years Survey today.

We recognise this is an ever changing situation and that your plans might change, so please try to keep us informed.

Thank you for all that you are doing to support children and families.


Guidance on re-opening childcare provision and Guidance on early years funding  

Local authorities are still waiting for the release of the updated guidance for re-opening provision and early years funding, these may be released over the weekend.


Ofsted Coronavirus 19 rolling update

Ofsted has released an update today about informing Ofsted as to whether your provision is opening or temporarily closed during this time Ofsted: coronavirus (COVID-19) rolling update.


Early Years Checklist and Risk Assessment

Following the release of the schools Risk Assessment document on Wednesday we have liaised further with our health and safety team to review the checklist. This is a working document so please look for any future additions following new and updated government guidance. You can find the checklist here.


Early Years newsletters

The early years team have produced the spring newsletters. Included is the Early Years Briefing newsletter with updates on the current situation under Covid 19, information on book trust, family wellbeing, health and safety, safeguarding, access to online training courses, Ofsted news along with other articles. The Early Years SEND newsletter has updates on the L3 SENCo award, resource links, information about help for families and where to access support and information, useful websites to support home learning, training opportunities for practitioners along with other articles. The Early Years transition newsletter was written in partnership with the 5-19 Public Health service and references useful ideas for transition.
