Update on hubs for early years settings

Thank you to each and every one of you for working so hard to ensure that childcare provision is in place for the children of Cumbria at this unprecedented time.

The website for applying for childcare through a School Hub or Early Years Hub is now live and requests for childcare are being received from families.

As stated previously, provision for children within the early years will be a mixture of provision within school-based hubs that are equipped to offer places to younger children, and through the hubs that sit within the private, voluntary and independent (PVI) sector. Many Childminders are continuing to offer places to key workers children and are providing a valued service and continuity for many families.

Please see here for latest list of childcare hubs.

Please display this poster in your premises

We have created a poster giving parents / carers who are attending school and childcare hubs clear instructions on hygiene and social distancing. We would be grateful if you could display these in areas where parents will be entering and leaving your hubs when collecting and dropping off their children.  Please click here to print poster.

A reminder to complete our data collection form

It is essential that we monitor demand for childcare on a daily basis. Please ensure you continue complete our attendance data form each day and return to Cumbria County Council:
