Delivering Better Value in SEND (Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities) Programme

Central Bedfordshire Council is one of 55 local authorities taking part in a national programme called ‘Delivering Better Value in SEND’. The programme, run by Newton Europe on behalf of the Department for Education provides dedicated support to the local authority helping to identify sustainable changes and create better outcomes for children and young people with SEND. It will also shape SEND services in the future and share good practice across the 55 local authorities taking part in the programme.

The programme will look in detail at the Council’s data, its forecasts, as well as explore different ways of working. Partners including Health, Social Care, SNAP PCF, schools and settings and children and young people with SEND will play a key role in the programme’s success. Shortly, a survey for parent and carers and schools will be sent out to help steer the programme.
