Household Support Grant

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has launched a new Household Support Grant (HSG) which replaces the COVID-19 Local Support Grant. The HSG has been set up to support millions of households in England and will be distributed by local Councils.  This will directly help those who need it most, including for example, access to small grants to meet daily needs such as food, clothing, and utilities.

This will run until 31/03/2022 or when the funds run out, whichever comes first.

Those in need of support should contact their local council directly,  for help to access the fund.

Children and Young People Suicide Prevention Training Directory

NHS Midlands Mental Health Clinical Networks  has compiled a directory intended as a guide to training provision for suicide prevention specifically amongst children and young people.  This resource has been compiled in response to the emerging need to address suicide prevention.

Help to improve SEND services by taking part in the SNAP PCF Survey

The annual SNAP Parent Carer Forum survey for parents or carers of young people with SEND is now live.

The survey which aims to understand the views of parents and carers should be completed one per child. There is a prize draw for those parents who take part and it only takes around 10 minutes to complete.

SNAP PCF is an independent forum of parents and carers of SEND children in Central Bedfordshire and feedback will be shared with Central Bedfordshire Council, The Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group, Bedfordshire Community Health Services and CAMH/CHUMS, as well as SNAP PCF members, to help improve services.
