Help to improve SEND services by taking part in the SNAP Survey

The annual SNAP Parent Carer Forum survey for parents or carers of young people with SEND is now live.

The survey aims to understand the views of parents and carers should be completed one per child. There is a prize draw for those parents who take part at it only takes around 10 minutes to complete.

SNAP PCF is an independent forum of parents and carers of SEND children in Central Bedfordshire and feedback will be shared with Central Bedfordshire Council, The Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group, Bedfordshire Community Health Services and CAMH/CHUMS, as well as SNAP members, to help improve services.

East London Foundation NHS Trust (ELFT) voluntary sector grants programme

ELFT which was originally formed in 2000, has long been recognised as a centre of excellence for mental health care, innovation and improvement. Its ambition is to make a positive difference by providing people with mental and community health care services that support their recovery. Everything done in ELFT is driven by the values of care, respect and inclusivity.

East London Foundation NHS Trust is opening a programme of further investment in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector following the success of recent expansions in the community connector programme and the PCN grant scheme. The programme aims to support organisations at direct risk of closing or losing capacity as a result of the pandemic and reach populations and communities experiencing challenges and exclusion.

Families in Focus - Parent Network

Lottery funded and therefore free support, information and knowledge for parents caring for children with SEND, with or without a diagnosis. The groups are delivered by parents, for parents. All of our facilitators have children with additional needs and are trained by Francine and Lesley. Our facilitators are often joined by special guests offering expertise in particular areas.

To join our Parent Network, all you need to do is email bookings@familiesinfocus.co.uk, answer a few short questions, and we will then send you the details of the upcoming events, including Zoom login codes, times and subjects.

We limit numbers for all of our events to ensure we offer an interactive, supportive environment which can be tailored to the parents who attend, and allow them to form a network of other families and parents living in similar situations.
