Get tested even if you’ve been vaccinated
Even if you have had your COVID-19 vaccine it’s still important to follow the rules.
Keep your distance from those outside your household. Get tested twice a week.
- More than 30 million people in the UK have been vaccinated with a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, giving them the fullest possible protection
- More than 79% of people in the UK now vaccinated with a single dose
The vaccine is effective against the new Delta variant but even if you have been vaccinated you could still catch the virus and pass it on to others.
To protect yourself and others, even once you have had both doses of the vaccine, you should continue to follow the rules:
Always remember:
Self isolate if you test positive or have symptoms
If you have any COVID-19 symptoms or test positive you will need to self-isolate. It's vital to stop the spread of COVID-19 - and it's the law - but you may be worried how you will cope.
If you have to stay at home and self-isolate and can't work from home, you may be entitled to a one-off payment of £500 through the NHS Test and Trace Support Payment scheme.
If you think you meet the eligibility criteria for either the Test and Trace Support Payment or a discretionary payment, you can apply here.
