Don't fall victim to a telephone scam!

We have received reports of residents being called where the caller claims to be from "Central Bedfordshire Council", or in some cases a neighbouring Council.

The unidentified callers say that they are from the council’s accident investigation department, or ringing on behalf of the NHS, about a recent accident.

Please be aware that these callers are scammers and not from the council.

They can often sound convincing, professional and will urge you to act quickly so as not to miss out on money or other promised rewards.

If they ask you for any personal or financial information, please do not give it out but instead hang up immediately.
