A word from Councillor Jane Tremlett
Welcome to this special edition of the Ageing Well newsletter which is dedicated to providing additional information on the Ageing Well Network and the event which is due to take place in May 2024.
Over the last few months, we have been developing the ageing well network in conjunction with numerous partners with the aim of providing information and advice to our residents and supporting our communities to live and age well. We are currently exploring ways to reform the Ageing Well network here in Carmarthenshire so that our citizens are at the centre of all that we do. As a starting point we are establishing a brand-new network of contacts and details of how you can join are noted below.
The annual Carmarthenshire Ageing Well event will take place on Thursday the 23rd May 2024, at the National Botanic Garden of Wales. We are looking forward to welcoming you all for a packed schedule that will help inform you on how you can age well in Carmarthenshire.
We hope that you find this newsletter regarding the event useful – if you have any ideas for the next newsletter, please let us know by getting in touch at: Ageingwell@carmarthenshire.gov.uk
Warm regards,
Cllr. Jane Tremlett

We have been working towards attaining World Health Organisation status as an Age-Friendly Community here in Carmarthenshire and as part of this, we are keen to ensure that there is a strong network in place that will help inform our residents on the activities, support and projects that are available to you here in the county.
As part of this we are looking to re-evaluate and re-establish the Ageing Well network that was previously established to strengthen the links that we have between ourselves, our partners and you as residents as we work on creating an age-friendly Carmarthenshire.
To ensure that you receive the most up to date information you will need to sign up to the new database we are creating for our Ageing Well Network. Becoming a member of the network will also ensure that you are able to register to attend our annual Ageing Well event which in May 2024.

Carmarthenshire Ageing Well Webpage
As part of our commitment to driving Carmarthenshire forward as an Age-Friendly community we are in the process of developing an Ageing Well webpage which will provide a whole host of information to you as residents.
This page will have signposting to relevant topics and documents that you may find helpful which will be useful to those living and ageing well in Carmarthenshire. There will also be signposting to information and relevant websites from our numerous partner organisations as we work together to help develop a Carmarthenshire where everyone has the opportunity to age well.
The webpage will be significantly developed over the next few months but this does still include information on the Ageing Well agenda here in Carmarthenshire as well information on how to register to become a member of the Ageing Well Network and information relating to the Ageing Well event and registration.
The webpage can be found by clicking on the the link below:
