Across the country, disadvantaged pupils perform less well than non-disadvantaged students and the Covid-19 pandemic has seen the attainment gap widen further. Yet, in Luton, disadvantaged pupils have better outcomes than their peers nationally.
To recognise the work of schools in closing the attainment gap, Luton is holding a best practice conference on Thursday 26 January 2023 at The Leagrave Centre, LU4 9ND.
Through a range of workshops and presentations, schools will share practical strategies for improving educational outcomes. National organisations, including Voice 21 and the EEF, will also host sessions.
