All schools have now received their quote for EastNet internet connectivity for the period 1 April 2023 to 30 March 2024. It is imperative that schools respond by either accepting or declining the quote by 30 November 2022.
Schools will not be invoiced until April 2023 at the earliest.
While we recommend that all schools use EastNet for their internet connectivity, schools are free to choose their supplier. If you decide to source alternative provision it is imperative that you decline this quote by the 30 November 2022.
Failure to accept or decline the quote by the 30 November 2022 could result in a full EastNet charge for 2023/24 (even if you source an alternative solution) or loss of internet connectivity, web filtering and cybersecurity from 1 April 2023.
Thank you to those schools who have already accepted their EastNet quote.

Whilst it is an uncommon occurrence, sadly we know that many young people, families, and their communities can be impacted by suicide. To help professionals in responding to these tragic events, colleagues in South Yorkshire have recently launched a new toolkit for those who support children, young people and families bereaved by suicide. You can download a copy here.
For those who come into contact with children and young people bereaved by suicide, Suicide Bereavement UK have also a free e-learning training module for professionals:
The Time to Read packs are a free book gift from BookTrust for every Reception child in the country, to encourage reading for pleasure. This year’s book is Malorie Blackman’s ‘We're going to Find the Monster’. The BookTrust website has lots of great resources and ideas to help you theme a lesson or activity around the story, and you can also order extra packs if needed.

Please make use of this fantastic resource to encourage shared reading, which, as you know, is hugely important for children's personal development and wellbeing.

As part of the local collaborative mental health offer, we want to remind you about the local DfE grant funded senior mental health lead training that schools are eligible for. Delivered by YMCA Trinity Group, there are separate programmes available for beginners, intermediate or advanced levels with the first cohorts already in progress. As a result of interest, and to widen access, new dates have been added for the Spring and Summer term, and all new programmes will now be delivered virtually.
Click here for more details about the local programmes available and links to available dates or contact mentalhealthtraining@ymcatrinity.org.uk to find out more.
If you haven’t done so already, schools can apply for a DfE grant to access these approved programmes. For more information, visit the Senior Mental Health Lead Guidance. Or you can find out more about the programme here (is there anyway to upload these on Cambs Learn Together so that they can be accessed as links?)
