Early Help Module Quick Guide 5 :
Partner Use Only: Completing an Early Help Assessment
Within the Early Help Module under the menu option Useful Links you will be able to find URL links to all available guidance for EHM or Firmstep processes.
Before you can complete an Early Help Assessment you will need to initiate the Early Help Episode - Please see Quick Guide 3 - Partner Use Only : Initiate Early Help Episode and complete a Privacy Notice - Please see Quick Guide 4 - Partner Use Only : Completion of a Privacy Notice
Step 1 : Start Active Early Help
After completion of the privacy notice, click the ‘Active Early Help’ box on the Map
Step 2: Click Decisions Tab
Click in the tab - Decision
Step 3: Start Early Help Assessment
Confirm initiation date and click 'Start' under Outcomes ‘Start/Update Early Help Assessment’
Step 4: Click ‘confirm’
Step 5: Click ‘Start Assessment’
Step 6: Complete Early Help Assessment
Complete all information requested within EHA. Ensure you visit all Sections on the left hand side of the page, and ensure all mandatory boxes are filled in/ ticked.
A user pack is available from the Early Help Hub Gateway Team to support you in completing the EHA online . It sets out expectations of content and what quality and assurance checks take place. To obtain a copy please email:

Step 7 : Assessment Information
Click the relevant radio button to define relationship ie PR, MC – main carer
Step 8: Suggested Outcomes
In ‘Analysis’ Section - Scroll to bottom and tick ‘Continue with existing process’ in order to submit EHA to Early Help hub Gateway.
Step 9: Save/Finalise
Click “Finalise Record” to pass the Assessment onto Gateway.
Assigned to EH Gateway
Please contact EHH Gateway if you need to further discuss the EHA you have submitted.

The EHA will then be showing as ‘assigned to the EH Gateway’ to be quality checked and authorised by the Early Help Hub
