Please let us know the dates your school has scheduled the 5 teacher training/professional days that are available to be taken at schools’ discretion during Academic Year 2022/23. We request this information from schools annually so that Cambridgeshire Services can plan support and provision for schools, pupils, parents, and carers accordingly. Please also let us know your school start/finish times for September 2022. This information is requested in response to the recent government white paper - Opportunity for all: strong schools with great teachers for your child, that sets an expectation for all state-funded mainstream schools to deliver a minimum length of school week of 32.5 hours as soon as they can, and from September 2023 at the latest. Please send us the dates and times for your school by completion of the following online survey by 5pm Friday 27 May 2022.

There are always difficult compromises to make in relation to proposing term dates. However, for future years we are looking to improve the dialogue with schools so that comments can be reviewed and considered before we reach a formal consultation process. If you would like to be a part of this earlier dialogue, then please contact Phil Nash by email at phil.nash@cambridgeshire.gov.uk.

As a topic that has been discussed at Cambridgeshire School Business Networking Group and in general with many schools, I have reached out to EPM and I am trying to organise a group meeting to provide a platform for schools to discuss with EPM the issues and frustrations that have been encountered by schools over the last couple of years. To assist this I would really appreciate it if you could spare a few moments and complete the survey below.
