Dear Reader,

Have you got ten minutes?

The Take Ten Together Toolkit [a free resource from MHFA England] provides tips to help you open up a well-being conversation including how to listen and some useful open ended phrases. There are also some signs and symptoms to look out for which might prompt you to ‘take ten’ minutes to have that conversation.

Have you got half an hour?

Thursday 3rd February 2022 is Time to Talk day and there are some resources at Time To Talk Day - Time To Talk Day which you might use in your school/setting as a whole. You’ll find posters, postcards, social media tiles, conversation starters, bunting and much more.

Have you got half a day?

A recent learner on the Suicide First Aid lite course specifically commented on a wise use of three and a half hours of their time, ‘Thoroughly enjoyed this course. Feel like I’ve learnt a lot in a relatively short space of time….increased my confidence in approach and opened my eyes to signs and options.’  The next online SFA lite course on 29th April 2022 can be booked via this course booking link.

In just half a day on an Adult Mental Health Awareness course you can: learn what mental health is and how to challenge stigma; a basic knowledge of some common mental health issues; receive an introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing; build confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue.

The next online Adult Mental Health Awareness course on 26th April 2022 can be booked using this link.
