Cambridgeshire Early Years and Childcare service (CambsEYC) has produced a range of social media resources and handouts to support your parents in using the 50 Things to Do Before You’re Five app over the festive period.
The resources link festive activities to activities on the app so that parents can use the advice and support in the app for further ideas and understanding of the importance of the activities in helping their child learn and develop.
You can find the resources on the dedicated Knowledge Hub group, and by following @CambsEYC on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (look out for posts with the hashtag #CambsPboro50t like, and share).
The Learn Together website is the place for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough schools and settings to find guidance and training on School Improvement, Early Years and Childcare, SEND and Services to Schools. At the beginning of the term, the structure of the site was changed to make it easier to access the right content for the local authority area you’re working in, and we’re now seeking your feedback on the new-look site.
We are keen to find out how you use the site; do you use it primarily to book training courses, to find good practice guidance, to find policy documents? How do you think the site could be improved? To help us to continually improve the site, please take a moment, if you can, to complete the survey below. Please complete the survey by Friday 17th December 2021.

In 2019 Amanda Spielman said “The new framework really is about making sure that children’s time in education are their wonder years. The time when they get to grips with the… events that have forged history.” The Schools Improvement Service has asked Stuart Tiffany (Mr T Does History) , Steven Mastin (joint author of the Opening Worlds Curriculum) and Andrew Wrenn ( Honourary Fellow of the Historical Association) to present a series of 5 twilight webinars during the spring term on the teaching of chronology, developing a knowledge rich curriculum and looking at curriculum intent, implementation and impact. If you do not currently have a member of staff suitable for the programme, but your school would be interested in employing a Teacher Intern next academic year, please get in touch to express your interest as we also interview and place candidates who are not currently employed in a school.
