 In July, the Government announced as a drive to get people back to work through the apprenticeship scheme that Employer Incentive Payments would be paid for taking on a new apprentice between 01 August 2020 and 31 January 2021. These payments are paid directly to the employer and there are no restrictions on what the payments can be utilised for.
The payments are: £2,000 for an apprentice aged 16 to 24 or £1500 for an apprentice aged 25 and over.

Reducing teacher workload in such demanding times may sound like an impossibility. But these live online events below will showcase how a range of schools across the country achieved reductions and increased teacher wellbeing as a result, over 2019-20. Cheltenham Literature Festival's free digital offer for schools

- ¾ of teachers reported lower levels of fitness in children,
- ½ reported mental and emotional well-being issues including anxiety, fear and diminished resilience.
