The Library Presents’ new season of fantastic arts events happening in 24 libraries across Cambridgeshire begins on 22 February and runs through to 27 June. The programme will be available – and booking opens – later this month and we look forward to welcoming you at one of our events. There is something for everyone, whatever their age and interest, including dance, music, puppetry, magic, comedy and theatre. There is also a great variety of arts and craft workshops.

2019 saw the 300th anniversary of the publication of Robinson Cruse and to celebrate the BBC launched of their list of 100 novels which shaped our world.
Each month, between January and October, 2020 has been allocated 10 books connected to a specific theme; January’s theme is Identity - what makes us who we are and how we define ourselves/others.

Holocaust Memorial Day is the day for everyone to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust, under Nazi Persecution, and in the genocides which followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur.
Cambridge Central Library will be remembering those who died in the Holocaust on the 27th January by displaying a selection of hand-picked, relevant books written by historians and survivors alike.
The books will be available from Friday 10th January.

On every second Thursday of the month come listen to a range of readings to help unwind and relax. Cherry will guide you through both poetry and prose from 11am to 12pm. Widen your knowledge of literature, meet like-minded people and join our friendly social group.
