Local Authorities have a duty to determine school term dates for all community and voluntary controlled schools in the local authority area.
Please see below a link to the proposed term time, school holiday and professional day timetable for all community and voluntary controlled schools in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough for the academic year 2021 – 2022. This is a SMART SURVEY where you will be able to comment on the proposals and provide information about your proposed 2021 – 2022 timetable, if you are a Foundation or Voluntary Aided School or an Academy.
The consultation opens on Monday 9th December and will close on Friday 13th January 2020. We look forward to hearing from you.
Please note that lessons have been learnt from last year and the dates stipulated equate to 195 days – out of which you should select 5 as your school’s INSET days.

Department for Education
Dear colleagues,
Before the madness of nativities, too many chocolate biscuits and general Christmas fatigue, I thought I would write to say my goodbyes as I prepare to leave Cambridgeshire at the end of the term. I have worked in Cambridgeshire for 18 of my 19 teaching years and have learned everything I know from the leaders, children and staff within these wonderful schools.
I am leaving to take up a Deputy CEO at the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust but will miss Cambs greatly - you're a brilliant and crazy bunch!
As I prepare to brave the wilds of Lincolnshire I will have nothing but fond memories …….I am having therapy for the others 🙂
Keep in touch on twitter.....@committedhead
All the best,
Tamara

In an increasingly interconnected, online world, it is becoming even more important to keep our wits about us as we leave traces of our presence through the clicks, taps and keystrokes of our travels around the online spaces we all frequent.
Technical solutions can only do so much to protect you and your schools: frequently, the weakest links are likely to be untrained staff.
Without appropriate awareness training, school staff are at risk of exposing themselves and potentially their schools to online attack.
The ICT Service, part of Cambridgeshire County Council, offers a broad portfolio of ICT-related services to schools and academies. They can now provide cost effective online Cybersecurity training which has been used by several Local Authorities to deliver mandatory training, and which has seen a 60% reduction in phishing risk in at least one Authority.
Please visit our Online Cyber Security Training page for more details.

In January 2020 Cambridgeshire social care and early help teams will be moving to a new case management system – Liquidlogic.
This will allow access for schools to record their interventions in the system allowing a more joined up approach to working with children and their families. You will be able to see a history of professionals who are have been involved with the family and if there is an open early help assessment.
In Liquidlogic all processes are completed online, including early help plans and requests for additional support. You will no longer need to send paper copies of documents to us.
A second round of training sessions have been arranged for schools and other partners in December and January. Click here for information and to sign up.
We have worked with over 3500 pupils, staff, parents/carers/governors, extending relationships developed over 20 years, and continue our excellent relationship with local Rotary Clubs. St Mary's St Neots Rotary supported the visit to Crosshall Juniors and St Ives Rotary donated to Thorndown Primary. We have attended a hugely successful fundraising event by Whittlesey Rotary & the PSHE Conference.
Co-ordinator: 'the visit & teaching is inspirational & just not replicable in the classroom. The experience will have positively shaped our children's attitudes for life'.
Y5: 'I just loved the time to think & ask my own questions - thank you'
