Join us at Cambridge Central Library or St Ives Library on Friday 8th November, 1pm - 2.15pm to see the 100 Novels revealed live from the British Library.
As part of the BBC’s Novels That Shaped Our World Festival, marking the 300th anniversary of Daniel Defoe’s Robinson Crusoe, a panel of writers, journalists and thinkers have selected 100 novels that have shaped their world.
The books, chosen to spark debate as well as celebrate the joy of reading, will be presented in ten themed categories. The selection panel, chaired by BBC Radio 2’s Jo Whiley, includes (L-R in photo) Stig Abell, Mariella Frostrup, Juno Dawson, Kit de Waal, Alexander McCall Smith and Syima Aslam.
The Livestreaming event is free; please book for Cambridge Central Library: Libraries.ReferralCentre-@cambridgeshire.gov.uk

The Enlightenment Rediscovery of Egyptology.

Charting his tumultuous expedition, this book reveals how, in spite of his untimely death in 1762, Donati managed to send enough items back to Turin to lay the foundations for one of the earliest and largest systematic collections of Egyptology in Europe.
