 Skills Access Hub
Businesses can now access free impartial advice from experienced Skills Advisors and develop action plans to close skills gaps within the workforce.
The plan could focus on upskilling the existing team, or look at ways to bring new skills and capacity into the business via apprenticeships, Kickstart, internships and/or graduate placements.
The dedicated team of Skills Advisers work with businesses on a one-to-one basis, to ensure support it tailored and responsive to business needs.

The Skills Access Hub is a 3-year project, part-funded by the European Social Fund, that offers skills advice and brokerage support to small and medium sized businesses based across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire (D2N2).

 The Big Notts Survey
Nottinghamshire County Council have launched their Big Notts Survey to help understand what priorities and concerns residents have as we recover from the pandemic and look to the future.
The survey is open until the 19th September and results will help inform the County Council's Plan which will be completed this autumn and will detail their priorities for the next 4 years and outline the 10 year vision and aspirations for our county.
It's very important that they hear honest feedback from as many residents as possible from right across the county to ensure all voices are heard, to help shape the plan so it benefits the lives and communities for all.

Final round of SEISS now open
The final round of the Self-Employed Income Support Scheme (SEISS) is now open to applications.
The grant will cover the period May 2021 to September 2021. The amount of the fifth grant received will be determined by how much your turnover has been reduced in the year April 2020 to April 2021.
The fifth grant will be worth:
- 80% of 3 months’ average trading profits, capped at £7,500, for those with a turnover reduction of 30% or more.
- 30% of 3 months’ average trading profits, capped at £2,850, for those with a turnover reduction of less than 30%.
Applications must be made on or before 30th September 2021.

Council services during the COVID-19 pandemic
