Walk-in to your COVID-19 vaccination

walk in

There was a fantastic turnout over the Big-Vax-The-Nation Weekend last weekend with over 6,000 people attending the sites as walk-ins.

Not had your jab yet? All people aged 18 and over can grab a jab by walking into any of the sites. Those of you who your first dose 56 days ago (8 weeks) can also walk in for your second dose.

If you would like to book an appointment you can visit the website or call 119.

Let's keep each other safe Broxtowe!

dashboard

The weekly figures shows Broxtowe as having one of the highest rates of COVID-19 in the county! With the increasing coronavirus rates across Nottinghamshire we want to make sure we are all doing everything we can to reduce the spread of COVID-19, as well as ease the pressures on our local NHS.

Remember to make twice-weekly testing a part of your routine, even if you are not showing any signs of the virus.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19 you should get a PCR test and self isolate.

Let's all keep following the Government guidelines and help keep our community safe.

Let's all watch the Euro 2020 safely

Watching England get through to the last sixteen was an exciting time. If you're meeting indoors with friends or family to watch the football, please remember to stick to a group of six or two households.

Did you know the more fresh air inside, the quicker any airborne virus will be removed from the room? Make sure you open any windows and let the fresh air in.

If you are heading to your local pub or beer garden remember to keep on using track and trace, socially distance and wear a face covering when moving around indoors.

Litter Picking Potential

litter picking

Following our recent plea for litter-pick volunteers, up stepped local heroes Nicola and Claire from Nuthall to answer our call.

Armed with Council-supplied litter-pickers and special litter bags, Nicola and Claire gave up their time over a weekend to help tidy up their local area.

Mum, Shirley, said: “This is the first time we’ve done a litter-pick and the girls really enjoyed it. It’s very satisfying to make a difference to your local area and I’d encourage anyone with some spare time to have a go yourself.”

Well done girls. You are an inspiration to us all.

If you would like to do a litter-pick in your area, please email  refuse@broxtowe.gov.uk
