  • You should wear a face covering when using taxis or private hire vehicles; the driver is entitled to refuse to accept you if you do not wear one

  • Follow the advice of the driver. For example you may be asked to sit in the back left-hand seat when travelling
  • Use contactless payment if possible
  • Be aware of surfaces you touch, be careful not to touch your face and ensure that your face covering covers your mouth and nose.

Annual Parks Survey

Broxtowe's open spaces

It's that time of year where we are doing our annual parks survey. If you're passionate about our parks and want to help enhance the open spaces in Broxtowe then please make sure you share your views with us in our survey.

The survey takes 10 minutes to complete and by offering your views on the selected parks, you can help make our parks the best they can be.

The results from the survey will be used to formulate a parks and open spaces regeneration programme, which will be delivered in 2020/2021.

Please remember as we assess our parks and open spaces at least once each year our parks team have just selected a selection of the parks for this particular survey, focussing on those that have not been part of the annual survey in recent years and those potentially needing some changes. If your local park isn't included this year, it may very well be next year.

Contactless Parking Payments

Phone showing app in front of Broxtowe Borough Council offices

Did you know that Broxtowe car parks now have contactless payment? If you’re out visiting our town centres to shop or eat out you can pay via a downloadable app, which means you can extend your stay if you want to stay longer.

You can still claim your free hour through the app but it means that if you're in town and you get caught in a queue, or if you want to stay for one more coffee, you don't have to rush back, you can just quickly update your parking time on your phone.

One of the potential interventions discussed by the Stapleford Town Executive Board included redeveloping the public spaces around Walter Parker Square, as well as provisions for a new community leisure facility, with options including an off-road cycle track and active adventure play parks.
