Bus Station Operations Assistant - Bridgend
Pay - £13.47 / hour
Hours - 31 hrs (3 week shift pattern over 7 days - 12pm - 6.15pm / 7.45am - 2pm)
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
To carry out detailed 'departure monitoring programmes' involving 'in station' and 'on buses checks. To exclude unauthorised vehicles from the bus station and to ensure buses, coaches and inspectors' vehicles are authorised and properly parked.
To provide service information and assistance to all bus station users ensuring the highest standards of customer care and deal with any queries, complaints and anti-social behaviour.
To maintain direct contact with bus and coach operators in respect of the day-to-day operational matters to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the bus station. To ensure the public are made aware of any changes or deviations from published timetable information via the electronic signage or announcements via the public address system.
To ensure a clean and safe environment at all times, identifying and carry out minor cleaning duties e.g. picking up litter and reporting damage, maintenance or other problems to the Bus Station Supervisor.
Maintain clear records and statistics of antisocial behaviour or other circumstances that may occur in the confines or surrounding area of the Bus Station.
