Even though the infection rate has been falling, COVID-19 hasn't gone away and we all must continue to act responsibly to keep the virus under control.
- We need to keep social distancing (2 metres)
- We need to keep washing/sanitising our hands regularly
- Wear your face covering
- Support the government's Test and Trace scheme if you are asked to
This will help slow the spread of the virus and help protect you and others around you.
There's so many of us that want to do more to reduce how much single-use plastic we are using, and there are so many simple things you can do - from switching to reusable straws, reusable cutlery, reusable bottles, the list goes on...
To show your support, sign the Essex Plastic Pledge today and you could win one of 100 of these branded reusable water bottles!
Plus you'll receive a few emails with tips, resources, & reminders for eliminating single-use plastic from your life.

A gentle, or not so gentle reminder - if you are using disposable PPE, always make sure you throw it in a bin (general waste bin) or take it home with you.
Please don’t turn them into litter and become a PPE litter tosser, or any litter tosser for that matter.
Please dispose of them safely and remember they can't be recycled.
Read more on disposing waste during COVID-19 and what to do with PPE and face coverings.
