The boy with wings by Lenny Henry Twelve-year-old Tunde is just your average kid: average friends, average parents, average grades. Sure, he has his quirks, but if he can avoid the school bullies and hang out with his ragtag group of friends, he's happy enough. The miracle on Ebenezer Street by Catherine Doyle. George is about to spend his third Christmas without his mum. Since she died, George's life has felt dull and grey; his dad has thrown himself into his work and has no time for family, and definitely no time for Christmas. Then, George stumbles across Marley's Curiosity Shop. There he finds a mysterious snow globe, which - though George can't quite understand how - appears to show a scene from George's past. A Christmas in which he and his family were together, and happy. That night, George and his dad are swept on an adventure to three Christmases - past, present, and future. With help from new friends, and just a touch of magic, can they begin living life in full colour again?

Winter Mini Challenge
This year, The Reading Agency teamed up with WWF UK for the Wild World Heroes Summer Reading Challenge - exploring nature and action for the environment through reading. Now the Heroes are back to help with the Winter Mini Challenge!
Join the Wild World Heroes as they embark on an Arctic adventure to find out about the creatures that live there. You will find out about the environmental issues facing this remote place and might even spot a narwhal or two.
Taking part in the Winter Mini Challenge is simple. Children can read three books (or more) between 1st December and 16th January and add them to their online profile to unlock the special virtual badge and certificate. They will be able to find other fun activities on the website too, including games, book reviews, and author content.
