New app for e-magazines and e-audiobooks.

RBdigital

Enjoy a wide selection of e-audio books and your favourite e-magazines all in the same app on your tablet or smart phone. RBdigital is a fantastic service for library members and costs you nothing to use!

This month on RBdigital you can listen to the new Robert Langdon thriller Origin by Dan Brown, Jane Harris’ eagerly awaited third novel Sugar Money, and a heart-wrenching new novel from the best selling author of The bomb Girls – The Bomb Girls’ Secrets by Daisy Styles.

Vogue magazine

Don’t miss Claire Foy, The Crown actress, starring on the cover of November’s British Vogue or checkout the latest developments in science and technology in New Scientist.

To get started with RBdigital you first need to register at our RBdigital website. Once you’ve created an account, download the RBdigital app to your smartphone or tablet and sign in. You can now start downloading audiobooks and e-magazines straight away.

Change to Zinio e-magazines and OneClickdigital e-audiobooks.

Get the new RBDigital app

RBdigital has replaced the OneClickdigital and Zinio apps with RBdigital.

OneClickdigital app users will notice the app icon has changed to the new RBdigital icon or you will receive an update notification on your device to update to the new RBdigital app.
Current Zinio users will receive an in-app notification that the app is changing and will be encouraged to download the new RBdigital app from their app store.

To log into the new RBdigital app, you can use either your OneClickdigital username and password OR Zinio for Libraries email/username and password.


Book group with a difference.

Audio book group

Do you enjoy listening to audio books? Would you like to join an audio book group?

We are considering starting a book group for people to meet to discuss and share their thoughts about their reads using RBdigital e-audio books – free to all library members. If you are interested in joining an audio book group please email or contact your local library.

Cutting for Stone

Binfield Library 

There are still places available at Binfield Library drop in book group. The group meets on the last Monday of the month at 5.30pm. The next session will take place on Monday 27th November 5.30pm. The group will be discussing 'Cutting for Stone' by Abraham Verghese. This book is about an Indian Nun who has twins in Ethiopia.

Code Club at Great Hollands Library.

Code Club

Spaces still available – come and have some fun!

Great Hollands Library's Code Club runs Saturday mornings 10-11am term time for children aged 8-13. One place is still available using a library computer, and there's more spaces if you can bring your own laptop! The children will be continuing to create games and animations using Scratch this term. Then in 2018 the children will learn more about programming using HTML and CSS and Python. Please contact Great Hollands Library if you are interested in attending our code club.
