BBC Micro:bit workshop.

Mico bit

Drop in for a special Code Club event to celebrate the opening of The Lexicon. The BBC micro:bit is a tiny programmable computer. Find out how to use the micro:bit and get creative programming with help from our Code Club volunteers. For ages 8-13.
No need to book, just drop into Bracknell Library between 10am and 11.30am.


Calling all babies and toddlers.

The library offers a range of books suitable for babies, young children.

Join the library today...collect your Bears Reading Adventure book and start collecting your stickers. 

All of our libraries hold groups for babies and toddlers.

Sandhurst Library now offers a Saturday Bounce and Rhyme Time. The next session will take place on Saturday 23rd September 10am.

Have you ever wanted to play chess with your children or grandchildren? 

10 week course every Thursday, 4-5pm starting on Thursday 28th September at Crowthorne Library.

Suitable for young people aged 9-11 years. 

All children must be accompanied by an adult.  The cost of this course is £60 per adult/child pair for the full 10 week course. Please book your space to avoid disappointment.

Family history- drop in.

Family tree

Drop into Bracknell Library any time from 2:00 until 5:00 pm on the second Tuesday of every month to receive guidance on your genealogy from members of the Berkshire Family History Society. This is a free service.


Job club.

Courtesy of Bracknell Open Learning Centre, the Job Club is in Bracknell Library every Tuesday morning, offering free guidance on careers options, enhancing skills and a range of short qualifications.

You will also have the opportunity to talk to a National Careers Adviser, who can give you free guidance on up-to-date career paths, as well as help on CVs, application forms and job interviews.

 

Sandhurst Library

The National Careers Service will also be holding a Job Club at Sandhurst Library on Friday 15th September 2-3pm.


Biodanza.

Bracknell Library will be holding a Biodanza taster session on Monday 25th September, 3-4pm.

Following on from our successful Tai Chi sessions...try this form of mindful dancing.

Sessions costs £3 per person.

Do you need some relaxation in your life? Join our friendly Yoga Classes run by Susan Heffernan with Yoga Nidra relaxation to harmonise mind, body and breath and improve flexibility. You can attend just one, or as many as you like!

Every Monday in September, October & November 12-1.15pm from 18th September 2017.
