Celebrate the Easter Bank Holiday safely

May you be blessed with love and peace this Easter

This year even though things are improving they're still not back to normal. So we need to think about doing things differently for just a bit longer.

The most important thing is staying safe, looking after each other and helping to keep infection rates down.

We’ve come up a webpage with few stay at home and a few stay safe activities for this Bank Holiday weekend.

Make some delicious Easter Cornflake Buns

Ingredients

225g dark chocolate

50g butter

2 tablespoons golden syrup

100g cornflakes

1 large bag chocolate mini eggs

Method

1. Place 12 colourful paper cases into a muffin tin

2. Put the cornflakes in a large bowl.

3. Break the chocolate into pieces and place into a large saucepan, add the butter and golden syrup. Melt over a large heat.

4. Pour the chocolate over the cornflakes coating them well. Be careful not to break them in to small pieces.

5. Using a tablespoon, spoon the mixture into each paper case making a small hollow in the middle of each nest with the back of the spoon.

6. Place a few mini eggs in each nest and place the tray in the fridge to set.

7. See how long they last before the disappear .

Happy Easter

Parks

With so much green space on offer in our district there’s always somewhere new to explore. Try to avoid the crowds this Easter and head somewhere new, you might be surprised by all the places you’ve not been and how diverse the offer is on our district.

We are lucky enough to have everything from wild moorland that will blow the cobwebs away to stunning woodland that offer a different view around every corner.
