Summer Reading Challenge - Space Chase

Its not too late to take part in the Challenge

Join at any Bedford Borough Library and see how many books you can read before

Saturday 7th September.

There is still plenty of time to read some great library books and achieve a Space Chase certificate, wristband and medal. All completed stamp cards go into a prize draw and if you read 6 library books you can enter the Space Chase Treasure Hunt Competition.

Don't forget we also have craft activities in libraries throughout the School Holidays.

Starting School or Nursery?

If your child is worried about starting school or nursery, take a look at the Starting School booklist on the Under 6s pages of the Virtual Library. Its a useful mix of fiction and non-fiction picture books - just click on the titles you are interested in to see which libraries have copies, or use your child's card to request them for free.

Need information for homework? If you can't get to the library for that book to help you, take a look at Homework Help on the Children's Pages of the Virtual Library. There are Quicklinks to all sorts of different subjects, Reference Books Online, Newspapers and much more.

Make, Do and Mend

We are looking for volunteers with crafting skills to help run a Make, Do and Mend Club for children at Kempston Library on Wednesday afternoons.
