Bin collections continue as normal on Bank Holiday Monday

Bin collections will be completed as normal on Bank Holiday Monday. If your rubbish, recycling or garden waste bin is due for collection on Monday please place your bin out for collection as normal.

Plastics recycling

Did you know the average UK household uses nearly 480 plastic bottles a year, but recycles just over 280 of them? That includes plastic bottles from the bathroom such as shampoo and bathroom cleaner bottles. You can place all of these and more into your orange lidded bin at home.

Household Waste Recycling Centre on Barkers Lane

The Household Waste Recycling Centre on Barkers Lane, Bedford is open daily from 9am to 5pm, including May Bank Holiday. The site is also open until 7pm on Saturdays between 1st April and 30th September.

Last entrance to the site is 10 minutes before closing time.
