More and more people are recycling glass!

After the celebrations on Christmas day, don't forget to collect up those empty glass bottles and jars and take them to your local mini recycling site.   Remember to put your bottle tops back on before you go so these get recycled too!    A full list of glass recycling sites is available online.

What to do with all the cardboard packaging?

Now that all of your presents are unwrapped - remember to squash down any cardboard packaging before popping it in the orange bin, so you can fit more in!

Make more space in your recycling bin by taking large boxes to the Household Waste Recycling Centre on Barkers Lane, just make sure any polystyrene is taken out first. Check the opening times below. 

Household Waste Recycling Centre, Barkers Lane

The Household Waste Recycling Centre on Barkers Lane, Bedford is open daily from 9am to 5pm. Last entrance to the site is 10 minutes before closing time. 

Over the festive peroid the site will close at 1pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, and is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
