Spring brings best-selling authors to Bedford Borough Libraries

Author visits this May and June

We are so happy to be hosting a number of author visits in our libraries this Spring. Whether you enjoy contemporary, historical, or crime fiction we think you'll find something for everyone. See below for details of authors and dates. Books will be available to buy at each of the events.

Rowan Coleman at Putnoe Library

Thursday 24th May at 6.30pm

Sunday Times best-selling author, Rowan Coleman, will be talking about her latest book, The Summer of Impossible Things. One lucky audience member will also win a fabulous book bag!

If you could change the past, would you? 30 years ago, something terrible happened to Luna's mother. Now Luna and her sister have a chance to go back to their mother's birthplace and settle her affairs. But in Brooklyn they find more questions than answers, until something impossible - magical - happens and Luna meets her mother as a young woman back in the summer of 1977. Ben Kane at Putnoe Library

Wednesday the 30th May at 7pm

Historical fiction author, Ben Kane, will be talking about his latest novel, Clash of Empires.

A.B. Morgan at Bromham Library

Saturday 9th June from 10.30am – 12.30pm

Crime author, A B Morgan, will be at Bromham Library where she will do a short reading at 11am from her psychological thriller, Stench, followed by a q & a and book signing.

Rory Norton didn’t always make his living as a motorbike instructor and he went to great lengths to leave his past life behind, to start again. He thought he had succeeded, until the body of a missing woman is discovered under the floor of his cottage. Only then do the guilt and shame of his wife’s mysterious, untimely death and the accusations about his connection to the missing woman combine to break him. The question is not how the missing woman died but why, and who is responsible?

Ruth Hogan at Putnoe Library

Richard and Judy Book Club winner and Sunday Times best-selling author, Ruth Hogan, will be talking about her new novel, The Wisdom of Sally Red Shoes.
