......Council Tax Support

Thank you to all those who took part in our recent consultation on Council Tax. We are currently analysing the responses and a report will be taken to the Council's Executive in January.   We are now consulting on the support we offer to Council Tax Payers in Bedford Borough.

Council Tax Reduction for Care Leavers

We are consulting on a proposal to introduce a Council Tax Reduction specifically for young people aged up to 25 years who have recently left the care of the Council. This is part of the Council's discretionary reduction scheme.

Council Tax Reduction Scheme

The Council is proposing to make no changes to its overall Council Tax Reduction Scheme for 2018/19. We are consulting on this proposal and welcome your views.

There is a real buzz in Bedford Town Centre on market days. Bedford Borough Council is proud of the way the markets have evolved and continue to be a central part of local life. The Council would like your views on the markets held in Bedford Town Centre to help shape future markets. Please take the time to complete and return this quick survey. Bedford Borough Council is responsible for nearly one thousand kilometres of footpaths; bridleways and byways open to all traffic across the Borough. We are asking local residents to share their thoughts on how to improve these routes, as well as how to encourage more people to enjoy and make use of them. MORE INFORMATION HERE

.....Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems

We are consulting on the Sustainable Drainage Systems Supplementary Planning Document. This Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) intends to address sustainable development across Bedford Borough by defining the requirements for the implementation of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) in future developments.
