Community Games weekend event
The Birmingham Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay is coming to Birmingham next month! This Saturday, 11 June, we are celebrating the route the Baton will travel through our city with a Community Games family fun day, hosted by broadcaster Ed James, at Victoria Common, Northfield, from 12-5pm. Come along and join in the fun!

Clean Air Zone sees city centre air quality improve in its first year
Air quality in central Birmingham has improved since the Clean Air Zone was implemented a year ago, and has seen a significant fall in the percentage of most polluting vehicles entering the city centre.

Supporting those in need through Household Support Fund
The city council has set out how it will support those in need using a further allocation of the Household Support Fund. The council has again been given £12.79m from government to use until 30 September 2022 with the focus on essential goods, food, energy and water and those in crisis arrears.
Big Creative Birmingham Conversation consultation starts
Birmingham’s residents and visitors are being urged to take part in a public consultation – the Big Creative Birmingham Conversation – to help shape the city’s creative vision for the next decade. The consultation runs over June and July.
