Local elections

Local elections took place across England on 3 May 2018. In Birmingham, every council seat was up for election for the first time in more than a decade. Council wards have also changed, with seats reduced to 101, divided between 69 new wards. So some wards will have one councillor and others will have two, depending on the size of the ward.
