In response to the global coronavirus pandemic, Basildon Council has established The Basildon Community Hub. The Hub will coordinate all of the resources available to the borough, working with partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors, along with communities, to support residents who are especially vulnerable during this time.
The first point of call for all residents worried about coronavirus should be Basildon Council’s coronavirus page www.basildon.gov.uk/coronavirus where we have a range of information and advice.
How to make a referral:
Please contact us by email on: coronavirusresidents@basildon.gov.uk or by phone: 01268 533333 and choose option 1.
As the Community Hub is newly developed, we kindly ask that you are patient with us as we set up our teams and try to deal with all enquires as best as possible.
The Basildon Centre, St Martin's Square is now closed.
In the interests of public safety all playgrounds and leisure facilities in parks are now closed to the public.
This is in line with government advice and is a necessary measure to limit the spread of coronavirus.
It is crucial that we all adhere to this guidance.
Please note that allotments will remain open for people to use in accordance with social distancing.
Full government guidance on staying at home and away from others is available here.

In line with Government guidance in relation to Covid-19 our contractors are only carrying out grass cutting to the main routes and sight lines for highway safety and parks.
The only exception to this is with regards to the maintenance of cemeteries.
We are spreading the message to Clap for the NHS and the wonderful work its staff are doing throughout these unprecedented times.
Join in at 8pm tonight for a big applause -
From front doors, gardens, balconies, windows and living rooms, to show our nurses, doctors, GPs and carers our appreciation for their ongoing hard work.
