Research to help save lives of trauma victims
Research carried out at the Royal London Hospital has resulted in the development of a a life-saving treatment for bleeding trauma victims. Tranexamic acid (TXA), can now be given by a simple injection at the scene of the injury, according to a new study published in the British Journal of Anaesthesia.
Award for St Bartholomew’s Hospital medical director
The award recognises Dr Rowland’s distinguished cardiology career in which he has helped increase understanding of heart rhythm disorders and raised awareness amongst both patients and professionals.
