Road Safety Scotland has launched a new campaign #ArriveAlive reminding people of the dangers of driving fatigued and to provide tips that people can use to keep safe and reduce the risks of driving when tired.
Fatigue is a contributory factor in crashes which kill or seriously injure around 50 people every year in Scotland. Its estimated that 20% of all collisions involve driver fatigue. Tips to help manage fatigue include planning regular breaks in your journey, planning overnight stays on longer journeys, asking another driver to share the load and to take regular caffeine breaks.
