Do you know how to pass a horse or cyclist on the road correctly? Safety Camera Scotland has launched a vulnerable road user campaign which aims to reduce the number of people injured on our roads due to speeding or dangerous driving.
The Highway Code already establishes a hierarchy of road users which ensures that those road users who can do the greatest harm have the greatest responsibility to reduce the danger or threat they may pose to other road users. Those most at risk in the event of a collision are termed vulnerable road users. These are the people with no protective shield to absorb energy from the impact such as pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders and motorcyclists.

You've got the style
Have you responded to the Agile workstyles email yet? Remember you need to opt in to continue in your new workstyle, which may be more home based post-covid. If you don't opt in, you will go back to your original pre-pandemic workstyle. You've got until the 22 July to respond!

We know our value!
Margo has blogged. And she talks about the Best Value Audit and what it means for the council and for taxpayers. The bottom line is, the council has performed well against all odds, including a pandemic, a cut in public funding and the race against climate change. And that's because of you! Our amazing team!

Could you offer a safe haven?
Could you offer a safe and supportive family home to a young unaccompanied asylum seeker (would be over 16) arriving in Angus?
If you could offer this kind of support and would like to find out more get in touch with our fostering and permanence team by email or call 01241 464646.

And finally... a step too car...
This weekend sees the 46th Scottish Transport Extravaganza take place at Glamis Castle. There is a drive of activity with vintage motors aplenty, a craft village and even ice cream. Sounds like a wheel of a time! When I bought my first car I couldn't work out how the seat belt worked. And then it clicked.
