Now that the days are longer and the sun is shining more, you may be thinking about enhancing your yard and home landscaping. Did you know that there is a difference between native and invasive species when it comes to plants and trees?
Native species are found in our local ecosystem through natural distribution. Invasive species are plants and trees that have been introduced from other sources and locations. Invasive species disrupt the ecosystem and inhibit the ability for native species to grow and thrive.
The Township maintains a list of native trees and shrubs for residents to consider in their yard. Be a good neighbor and plant native species. For assistance, contact Covenant Administration at 281-210-3800.
