Become a Valued Member of Our Award-Winning Program!
Would you like to know:
- What to say to solicitors and how to get a No Solicitor sticker?
- How to request a Vacation Watch from local law enforcement?
- How to stay informed during an emergency such as a hurricane?
- How to work together with your neighbors to prevent crime and improve safety in your neighborhood?
Join our team and make a difference in your community! The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services Department empowers residents to combat crime through the Neighborhood Watch program. By fostering communication and organization, Neighborhood Watch creates safer neighborhoods with a stronger sense of community involvement.
Members of Neighborhood Watch serve as the eyes and ears of their neighborhoods, assisting law enforcement in community policing efforts. With more members, a neighborhood’s Watch program becomes more effective in deterring crime.
We’re calling on residents to volunteer as Watch Coordinators for their streets. It’s a minimal time commitment but offers valuable opportunities to learn about crime prevention, build neighborly connections and stay updated with information from law enforcement and The Woodlands Township.

Happy Birthday to
Program Specialist Abby Miller!
Abby has only been with the Township for half a year, and she has had a wonderful time meeting new people and helping the residents of The Woodlands practice community policing in her role with Neighborhood Services. She moved from Oregon to Texas last June after finishing her Master’s degree and it didn't take her long to feel right at home with her colleagues in Neighborhood Services and other departments within the Township. In her role as Program Specialist, she orchestrates various events within the Villages of Grogan's Mill, Indian Springs and Sterling Ridge, and serves as a liaison between the Township and Village Associations. What she loves most about working with the Township is the people with whom she gets to work. Coming from out of state along with being a young professional, she was a bit nervous that she would have difficulty connecting with her colleagues. However, she was quickly proven wrong when she saw how kind, understanding and fun-loving her department was and continues to be.
A big Texas welcome to Abby!

Happy Birthday to
Program Specialist Amy Tidwell!
Amy has called The Woodlands home for nearly two decades, residing in Alden Bridge with her husband and three children. Over the past five years, she's been an integral part of the Township, initially serving in the Covenant Department before transitioning to Neighborhood Services. As a Program Specialist, Amy dedicates herself to supporting the Alden Bridge and College Park Village Associations, alongside assisting various senior living complexes across The Woodlands. What she cherishes most about her role is the camaraderie with her colleagues and the opportunity to connect with new residents. Amy finds particular joy in her work with senior citizens, organizing engaging activities that bring smiles and laughter to their lives.
