 Project 365 Kicks Off
The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services is announcing Project 365 for 2024: Set it, Don’t Forget It” in all facets - car, home, and fire alarms.
Project 365 is a unique component of the National Night Out Campaign. Working together with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Crime Prevention Unit, Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 4, and The Woodlands Fire Department, our goal is to designate a particular crime or safety-related problem in our community that when removed, will help to make The Woodlands one of the safest places to live.
Car: It may seem like a routine piece of advice, but the significance of locking car doors cannot be overstated. Unfortunately, incidents of theft and unauthorized entry can happen even in the most tight-knit neighborhoods. By forming a habit of locking our car doors, we create a first line of defense against opportunistic crimes and protect our property.
Home: As we prioritize the safety and well-being of our community, it’s crucial to address the issue of false home alarms. False alarms not only inconvenience our neighbors but also strain emergency services, diverting resources away from genuine emergencies. Let’s work together to reduce the occurrence of false alarms and maintain the efficiency of our local public safety personnel.
Fire Alarm: Ensuring the safety of our community is a shared responsibility, and when it comes to fire safety, false alarms can pose a significant challenge. False fire alarms not only disrupt our daily lives but can also strain emergency services, potentially delaying their response to real emergencies. Let’s come together and enhance the effectiveness of our fire safety measures.
